When were you an intern and what did you do?

I was the social media intern for the summer 2024 sessions. I assisted with the high school photography camps, assisted with the summer programming, and did the social media for all CDF & DWR accounts.

What did you learn as an intern?

I learned what my strengths were in terms of digital marketing, how necessary it is to track growth, create engaging content that remains consistent with a brand, as well as learned how to adapt to fast-changing social media landscapes! I think my biggest skill that was put to use was my ability to pivot, be quick on my feet, having to think outside the box when things didn't go as planned.

How has the internship helped you in your career?

I was given a lot of networking opportunities, as well as a lot of guidance while I'm on this journey of figuring out what I want to do in my future. I received a lot of access to new contacts and resources within Detroit, as well as adopted so many soft skills I needed to succeed!

What are you now studying as a student?

Right now, I'm studying abroad in Sydney, Australia as a Philosophy, Law and Economics & Marketing Advertising strategy major!
