Rent The Detroit Writing Room

Daily Rental

We offer hourly rentals 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for meetings, breakfast meetups, team building, business off-sites, workshops, photoshoots, private parties and more.

 

Photoshoots = $75 per hour

Conference Room = $100 per hour (20 capacity)

The Washington Room = $200 per hour for meetings & workshops / $400 per hour for private parties (80 capacity)

 

Evening & Weekend Rentals

Rent the entire Detroit Writing Room for networking events, award ceremonies, fundraisers, weddings, private parties and more after 5 p.m. weekdays or starting at 9 a.m. on weekends.

Available any day, including Sundays

Host an intimate ceremony, wedding reception or vowel renewal at The Detroit Writing Room. We also celebrate engagement parties, bridal showers and rehearsal dinners.

 

Book Signings

2 hours = $299

Includes full use of venue, AV, projector for presentations and selling of books

Host your book launch and signing at The Detroit Writing Room! We’ll take care of sales so all you have to do is sign books! We’ll also share your book talk on the DWR social media channels and e-newsletter.

 

Popups

2-hour minimum; price breaks available for longer popups

$150 per hour weekdays before 6 p.m.

$200 per hour after 6 p.m. and weekends

Artists, entrepreneurs and small business owners are welcome to popup at the DWR. We’ll create time slots to maintain distancing and keep shoppers under 25 guests at one time.

We partner with event planner Lisa Gebhardt of LG Events for showers, receptions, weddings and larger events. Lisa will work with you to coordinate all details and host a memorable event!

RA Event Design

We partner with event planner Ryan Abney of RA Event Design for private parties, fundraisers and nonprofit or corporate events. Ryan will work with you to ensure your event reflects your vision and is a success!

RA Event Design is passionate about and committed to the love of people. Ryan calls herself a connector because she enjoy bringing people together. Ryan specializes in personalizing diverse events for each client and handling situations with grace. No matter what may come her way, she will have solutions, delivered with calm. Years of planning includes: corporate events, charity galas, social celebrations and wedding festivities (both in the U.S. and abroad).
