Virtual Book Parties
Starting at $160 for members/$200 for non-members
Reach new readers in Detroit and nationwide! Our 1-hour virtual book parties include a meet-and-greet with guests, book reading, discussion and Q&A. We can do signed book giveaways too! Tickets are free for the first 15 guests. Your event will be shared on DWR social media platforms, e-newsletter and posted to our YouTube channel. Authors are also featured in our Writer Wednesday spotlights!
Author Presentation: School Visit or Book Event
$250
Need help designing your book talk slides? Children’s book coach Amy Nielander is a veteran designer and school visit author. She’ll create a PowerPoint for you that looks spectacular and helps you tell your story. Includes a 30-minute consult, slide design with 1 round of revisions and test tech run on Zoom. Additional revisions = $75 per round

Custom Workshops
$400 per hour for non-profits/$500 per hour for businesses
Want to learn how to pitch journalists, increase your social media engagement or get started on writing a book? We’ll create a custom workshop for your group based on your needs and desires! Workshops are taught by DWR and NYWR coaches. Workshops can be virtual, or if you’re based in Detroit, we can come to you!
Coaching Gift Certificate
Gift a Detroit Writing Room coaching session to a loved one, friend or colleague!
Gift certificates can be redeemed for a 1 hour session with any of our Detroit Writing Room or New York Writing Room coaches. This gift is great for college students, aspiring authors, designers and photographers, professionals who want to improve their writing or those looking to change jobs and spruce up their resume. Certificates are $80.
